While I’m not a fan of the technology of vinyl, this is definitely something that has changed (for the worse IMO) since those days. The comoditization of digital releases through the constant push of singles (which existed in the vinyl days, but wasn’t anywhere as easy as it is now) has all but destroyed the concept of ‘album’. I totally agree with what you said regarding artwork. Having a much larger space to work with, when it comes to vinyl, means that the artwork is often times way more striking. I also believe that it gives the artist more freedom to express the intentions of their album. For example, I just purchased Arcade Fire’s Reflektor and really enjoyed the…En afficher davantage
