One of my favourites as well. I don’t know if you are aware of this, but this album is essentially improvisation. Miles Davis wrote the basics and then he and the other musicians ‘jammed’ it out with this as the final product.

I would find cut outs like that quite annoying as well. But I also hate having wires sticking out in plain sight. I can run wires through the walls of my home but that seems complicated considering the layout of my home. I might want to hire someone to do that.
